In or Out – What being In-Network means for you!

In or Out – What being In-Network means for you!

Trying to sort out your dental insurance benefits can be a tough mountain to climb. Allowables? Networks? PPO, HMO, discount plans? What about coverage on select services and waiting periods? You could use a Ph.D. in dental insurance about now.

Luckily we’ve got a team to help along the way.

Our practice decided a long time ago that the best way to serve our patients was to be in-network with as many insurances as possible. In-network is code for an office that accepts the insurance companies standard set of negotiated fees. In short, our office accepts a list of fees, which is called a fee schedule. The savings are then passed along to the patient.

In-network services covered at 100%. The vast majority of private dental insurance companies cover cleanings, exams, and radiographs at 100%. Should you get charged for a healthy mouth when you have insurance against cavities? We don’t think so. Being in-network means NO OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES for these services and is a great way to utilize the benefit of the premiums you pay.

Did you know dental insurance is the number 2 most desired work benefit aside from medical?

It’s important, we ask so much of our teeth! 24/7 for 80+ years? That’s a lot and as we’ve discussed in other blogs much can happen with your oral health in six months. So please, take advantage of your two cleanings, exams, and check-up radiographs, your teeth will thank you down the road.

What to do if you don’t have a dental policy or you are still out of network? As a courtesy, we will always be able to bill your out of network insurance and take advantage of your benefits. Additionally if you are without insurance, BGOHC has established our own benefits package to provide people with some of the same benefits as a traditional policy. Just ask our wonderful team to help.

As always, if you ever have any questions on dental insurance, feel free to call BGOHC any time at 270-781-6161.
