L-PRF stand for Leukocyte-Platelet Rich Fibrin. We use your own blood to concentrate all of the healing components of blood and place them directly in your surgical site. Leukocytes are white blood cells that fight infection, platelets are blood components that stop bleeding, and Fibrin is the glue that holds cuts together. You can wait for your body to undergo the 3-5 day process of getting all of these components to the surgical area, or you can bypass the whole process in just 15 extra minutes. That equals 3-4 days of less pain, less chance of a dry socket, less chance of infection, and getting you back to your normal life faster.

What do you use to do this?
We use your own concentrated blood. There are absolutely no additives. It’s the most simple and natural approach to healing.
What procedures can this be used on?
We like to use L-PRF any time we perform surgery. This includes extractions and implants. There are no contraindications to its use.
What if I’m on blood thinners?
Even better! When performing surgery on blood thinners bleeding time is increased significantly. When we place L-PRF we are placing concentrated platelets. This stops the bleeding much faster.
